Dublin 12 Task Force Rehabilitation services

 

ARC Rehabilitation\ Recovery Programmes

Provides a range of structured rehabilitation services including: Induction, Stabilisation and Education training and aftercare programmes. Participants have the potential of extending their programme to 3 year. The duration of individuals depends on their commitment to their programme and an overall review at the end of each year.

Walkinstown Greenhills Resource Centre (WGRC)

WGRC Provides a range of services to all members of the communities of Walkinstown/Greenhills such as addiction and bereavement counselling, referral, and a range of alternative therapies. Check out www.sideeffects.com

ARC COCAINE \ POLYDRUG Project

ARC COCAINE \ POLYDRUG Project provides crisis intervention, cognitive therapy, one to one counselling, complementary / holistic therapies, individual support sessions with key-worker and group support to crack cocaine/poly-drug users. It also offers outreach support, drug education, rehabilitation, relapse prevention. The Cocaine \Polydrug projects supports stabilisation among cocaine/poly-drug users, towards achieving a drug free status. This programme operates from Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 5pm, and on Saturday from 11am to 3pm.

ARC Under 18s Project

ARC Under 18s Project is a holistic service for young drug users under the age of 18 and their families from Dublin 12. The services provided include Outreach, one to one support, counselling, relapse prevention. The presence of this service has provided specialised care for those young people and their families who were engaging in drug misuse in 2014. For each service user accessing the project at least one parent/caregiver is also involved in their initial treatment plan. This service provides holistic services to young people under the age of 18 years from Dublin 12 that are dabbling in or engaging in drug misuse, and their families, in the form of counselling, support, outreach, education and holistic therapies. Referrals can be made to medical treatment if required.

ARC Drop-in Service

Details: Addiction Response Crumlin is an umbrella organisation for a number of substance Misuse programmes and projects provided in Dublin 12, which cater for people at various stages in recovery process. Addiction Response Crumlin aims to provide a holistic service that is client centred, caring, and non-judgemental and delivered with a professional approach. We recognise the interdependency of the individual, the family and the community.

Dublin12 Harm Reduction Outreach service

The Dublin 12 and Canal Communities Drugs Task (D12&CC) Health Promotion/ Harm Reduction Project. This project provides Harm Reduction/ Health Promotion Outreach across the 2 LDATF areas, reaching out to active drug users, their families and the local communities, providing workshops, drug paraphernalia, crisis counselling, referral and advocacy. A partnership agreement between HSE and both D12\CC Task Forces has enabled a mobile needle exchange service to be available in Dublin12 on 2 days per week.

YoDA (Under 18’s) Project

YoDA provides assistance and treatment to under 18’s who are having problems related to their drug or alcohol use. YoDA provides expert treatment based on the individual needs of the service user. Aims To ensure that appropriate services and treatment are provided to young people with substance abuse problems. To reduce the harm caused to young people by their drug or alcohol use. To develop the capacity of a young person to solve their own difficulties. To provide support and guidance to families who are trying to help a young person address their drug or alcohol problem. To provide appropriate interventions for under 18’s in line with best international research and standards To work collaboratively with other agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients.

HSE Rehabilitation Integration Service ( RIS), South West Dublin

Details of Programme: Rehabilitation Integration Service supports and guides people, who are in recovery from substance misuse, to access relevant services needed to move forward in a positive way towards education, training or return to work. The service provides Assessment, keyworking, advocacy, support, individual progression plans, referral. An RIS worker works at Dublin 12 Clinics: − Curlew Road Addiction Clinic, Drimnagh,D12 & − The Lodge, Old County Rd, D12

Additional Rehabilitation services ( ie outside Dublin 12)

ARC (pilot) Alcohol Reduction Programme

ARC pilot Alcohol Reduction programme is a 12 week Programme that runs 2 mornings per week at various times through the year.

Dublin 12 Rehab Practice Mentor

The objective of the D12 LDATF part-time D12 Rehabilitation Practice Mentor: • Engage with all treatment providers and relevant agencies in the D12 LDATF area in order to implement the National Drugs Rehabilitation (NDR) Framework • Support services in their implementation of the NDR Framework • Track the progression of service users through the continuum of care.
